Historical Event on 2/1/1901
Six language penel were started on the Rs. five dinomination. These notes were single sided and the back side could be used for accounting purposes. The six languages were Urdu, Bengali, Telugu, Kaithi, Kannada and Tamil. The paper used for printing was white hand made and moulded.

11/8/1977	Bommi Narsing Reddy, famous film story writer and Dadasaheb Phalke awardee, passed away.
8/22/1993	The first batch of IAF troops landed in the capital city of Mogadishu.
1/8/1999	Farah Khan made it a double, adding the National ladies snooker title in Delhi.
9/28/1837	Bahadur Shah-II ascended the throne and became the emperor of Delhi at the age of 62 following the death of his father Akbar Shah-II.
