We have a 4 year old kid and wish to move into DC/Arlington this March. I have read that Arlington/Fairfax are better options to live compared to DC. But one of the important things which goes in DC favor is free Public School for my 4 year old kid. Arlington or Fairfax have income limits and look to be more stringent in supporting free education below 5 years. If I pay USD 1000 per month on private education, the rental cost effectiveness of Arlington/Fairfax will be balanced off.Can anyone please help us with practical inputs so we can decide accordingly on the place to live in - DC or Arlington or Fairfax.Thanks.
