Workshop on Key to Happiness
What am I seeking? Happiness or freedom from unhappiness? Where is it?
A story of a child and a toy: A child is delighted to receive a wonderful toy. As the toy gets older, the happiness wanes. However, if it is lost, stolen or broken, it turns into devastating unhappiness. This unhappiness wanes shortly thereafter again as other thoughts, or other material objects present themselves into the child's life.
Is this swinging of 'happiness' not the same for all of us irrespective of age, gender, creed, denominations, color or background? This 'toy' is very much in our daily lives, and has a profound impact on us! It could be in the form of a device, game, house, car, friend, or even our spouse. This concept of the 'toy' also goes beyond material forms, and beyond our personal lives - have you thought about a business transaction, a task or even a conversation being shaped into this 'toy'?
Happiness appears to be packaged in these 'toys' that we open and experience for some time, and then slip back into a waiting-mode, waiting for the next toy to come. Is this how we were meant to experience happiness, or unhappiness for that matter?
There are fundamental questions that we seek answers to in our lives, such as:
Am I happy when I am not unhappy?
Am I unhappy when I am not happy?
What am I seeking? Happiness, or freedom from unhappiness?
Come, explore, and engage in this workshop to find the Key to your Happiness!
