Historical Event on 2/13/1879
Sarojini Naidu ""Nightingale of India"", was born at Hyderabad. She was the first Governor of Uttar Pradesh. She also holds a place of pride among the women freedom fighters of India. She presided over the Kanpur session of Indian National Congress and took active part in Salt Satyagraha and represented Indian women in Round Table Conference, London, 1931.

12/23/1912	Rash Behari Ghosh and Sachin Sanyal threw a bomb at Viceroy Lord Hardinge II in Delhi. He had come to Delhi on an elephant for the initiation of the new capital. The Viceroy was injured in the bomb blast.
8/11/2000	Usha Mehta, great Gandhian, passed away.

9/21/1992	The Officers Training School (OTS) women were inducted into the Army as Officers, and the onerous task of training the Lady Cadets of WSES (O) courses commenced at the OTS.
